What is SkyDrive? Well, it is an online storage site hosted by Microsoft. A couple of months ago, SkyDrive was only available to hotmail account holders who have been supporters of hotmail for a few years, but now it is available to all hotmail users.

Even though SkyDrive only offers 5 GB of space, I find it very useful when I want to put a document or a zip/project file for example online for my friends to see. SkyDrive also has this option where it allows you to select certain email addresses whom you want to give access to a certain file or document, or, alternatively, you can make it public for every one to view it (sharing is caring).

To register for SkyDrive is pretty simple, all you need is a Live ID,  which you probably would have if you have a hotmail account. Since it is under Live, you will also have access to Live Spaces, Live Hotmail and Live OneCare.
