cannot copy items straight in or out of VPC

Copying items such as software, documents, images or codes in or out of VPC can be done in several ways.

The first way is to install Virtual Machine Additions (available after virtual pc has started up). This process should be done each time you create an image.

Next way to copy files in and out is to create a shared folder. This feature is only available after the Virtual Machine Additions has been installed.

The last way is just to minimize your VPC, and drag the items in. If you are using Windows Vista, you have to disable UAC (the irritating feature in Vista where almost everything that you want to do, example, format your external hard disk, will prompt you to click OK to allow that transaction to happen). Without disabling UAC, you will still be able to create a shared folder and copy your files in and out of VPC, but when you try to drag the file direct onto the VPC desktop, you will not be able to.

Hope this helps !
